Computer manufacturing giant Dell will release its own tablet device soon, known as the Streak.

The tablet computer is just the first of the many products that Dell is planning to introduce to the market in the coming months.

Unlike most tablet devices today, the Dell Streak is smaller. It has a 5-inch (or 12-centimeter) WVGA capacitive touch screen and runs the Google Android OS. It has built-in bluetooth, wi-fi, and 3G connectivity. It is also equipped with a 5-megapixel camera.

Dell aims to give people the best kind of experience in navigation, social connection and “on-the-go” entertainment with the Streak.

Dell’s Tavis Butler said, “This is a data device first and a voice device second. This is the first in a family of devices.”

There are also rumors that Dell will release 7-inch and 10-inch tablet devices in the future.

Dell Streak will be available in the UK starting June this year.
