Roman Fischer`s new single “Into Your Head”, co-written and produced by Patrik is released June 4th through Universal Music Germany.

Roman Fischer is a really young German rock/folk singer and composer. He started in his teens and became a major yet indie hit in his homeland Germany. When he was 18, a couple of his songs were used in the soundtrack for “Sommersturm”, a coming-out-movie featuring German starlet Robert Stadlober. In his own MySpace page, Roman Fischer cites Jeff Buckley, The Blood Brothers, Rufus Wainwright, Arvo Pärt and Claude Debussy as his major musical influences.

Rap megastar Eminem has spoken about his new album ‘Recovery’ revealing that it features Rihanna and Pink.

Taking four years to complete just one album, Eminem seems to be in the middle of a creative spurt. 2008′s ‘Relapse’ ended a period of silence for the rapper, who had claimed that a second volume was due to be released.

Taken from the same recording sessions, ‘Relapse 2′ has now been shelved in favour of a new album. Recorded with Dr Dre, new effort ‘Recovery’ is set to feature some very famous guest stars.

Due for release this summer, Eminem’s new album will contain guest slots from Rihanna and Pink. Speaking to Radio 1 the rapper praised Pink’s involvement with the sessions, claiming that she is a “rebel”.

“I’ve always respected what she does” the hip hop star claimed. “When we did the track I heard her on it and knew vocally she’d smash it.”

Rihanna guest stars on a track named ‘Love The Way You Life’ with the rapper delighted to have the R&B singer on board. “The same thing with Rihanna (as Pink),” he said. “It would be more special with her on it.”

Suffering from depression and drug addiction before the release of ‘Relapse’ the rapper now seems to be in better spirits. “I’m definitely in a much better place than I was a few years ago” he claimed.

Meanwhile, Eminem is gearing up for headline slots at this year’s T In The Park and Oxygen festivals.

Eminem is set to release ‘Recovery’ on June 21st.

OSLO, May 26 (Itar-Tass) - The music band of Pyotr Nalich (Peter Nalitch) representing Russia at the Eurovision 2010 contest on Wednesday passed to the final of the contest with the song “Lost and Forgotten.” The final will take place on May 29.

Television viewers and jury all over Europe thus determined the best 10 of 17 singers that performed in the first semi-final. Together with the Russian participants other finalists are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Greece, Portugal, Belarus, Serbia, Belgium, Albania and Iceland.

The second semi-final will be held on May 27 and also 17 countries will participate in it, 9 of them will go to the final. Besides, the organisers of the competition – Great Britain, Germany, Spain and France, as well as the country host of the jubilee 55th Eurovision contest Norway – pass to the final automatically.

Peter Nalitch has become famous in Russia after the publication in 2007 on YouTube of the clip of his song “Guitar” (where he makes fun of himself with broken English lyrics and dubious film editing qualities). In about a month, 70,000 persons had already watched it. The Russian users of LiveJournal were sending each other the link to the song, which became quickly famous. After that, interviews and articles were made about Peter in some Russian papers.

In 2007, Peter had already about 40 songs written down, all available on his website for free. Fans archived them and you can still find them on the web. It is with these songs that Peter gave his first concert, on November 9th 2007, in the club “Apshu” in Moscow.

After the success of this first concert (a lot of people had been unable to enter the first crowded venue), articles were written on blogs and in the newspapers. Peter then gathered a band of musicians, with whom he gave two more concerts during the winter of 2008 in the club “IKRA” in Moscow. Tickets had been sold out several months before the event.

The band took the name Peter Nalitch’s musical collective – Musical Collective of Peter Nalitch (MKPN).

During the following two years, in addition to the Muscovite venues, MKPN went on a tour, performing in Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod and in other big Russian cities.

The band released his first album in 2008 – “Radost Prostykh Melody” – translated as “The Joy of Simple Melodies” on their website. They also released a DVD with the footage of a concert in Moscow – “MKPN at B1 Maximum” and an EP, “More” (“The Sea”). In 2009, the band was one of the headliners at the “Sfinks” festival of Antwerp (Belgium). Nalitch is self-produced.Popular Posts:

“Backstreet Boys” in debut live performance in India

Influential American pop group “Backstreet Boys” will be performing live for the first time in India this coming weekend.

As a part of their “This is Us” world tour, they will be headlining “Rock ‘n India”, claimed to be “India’s only international music festival”, in Delhi (NSIC, Saturday February 20) and Bangalore (Palace Grounds, Sunday February 21). Tickets are Rs. 1,500 and Rs. 1,000 respectively.

Other groups performing in Delhi include Prime Circle, Richard Marx, Swarathma, Indigo Children, and Jayce Lewis; while other groups performing at Bangalore include Prime Circle, Richard Marx, Swarathma, Jayce Lewis, and Five Little Indians.

Formed in 1993 in Florida (USA); its current four members include Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, and A. J. McLean; as fifth Kevin Richardson left in 2006. Its genres include pop, pop rock, R & B, teen pop and adult contemporary. It has released seven studio albums and has sold over 130 million records worldwide, making it one of the most successful groups in music history.

Backstreet Boys live in Delhi

Our show in India will be one of the grandest shows we’ve ever done,” says Brian Littrell of the pop sensation Backstreet Boys, talking exclusively to HT City from the United States.

The American band, which swept the world in the ’90s with hits like Quit Playing Gamesand I Want It That Way, will perform live in the Capital on February 20.

“I’ve run into fans from India at our concerts throughout the world and they always say ‘you have to come to India’. We’ve been wanting to do so for a long time and we’re very, very excited,” says Littrell.

Once regarded as one of the biggest selling music groups of all time, the band is now ready to win over a new generation of fans. “It’s nice to see old faces at our shows. But there’s a new generation out there that doesn’t know about our music,” he says.

Brought to India by DNA Networks, Backstreet Boys will headline the Bangalore-based Rock In India festival, that’ll be held in Delhi for the first time this year at NSIC grounds, Okhla. Last year, cult metal act Iron Maiden performed at the festival.

About their India performance, Littrell says, “It will be among the grandest shows we’ve ever done — a combination of past and future. It will be about two hours long with 24 songs. It will include favourites like As Long As You Love Me andQuit Playing Games. Expect a lot of dancing and drama. It’ll be like a live movie —very theatrical — something we’ve never done before.”

Littrell is keen on listening to Bollywood music while he’s here. “It’s something talked about all over the world. Indian culture and Bollywood are high up on my agenda.”

Why pop music at a rock fest, ask fans
While Delhi’s music lovers are super excited at the thought of watching the Backstreet Boys perform live, there are some who are upset by their inclusion in a festival dedicated to Rock music.

Surojit Dev of the Delhi-based band Them Clones says, “For me, it’s a complete category disconnect because this is a festival about Rock music in India. While I would definitely go and watch them, because any music is great and must be supported, my inbox on FaceBook is flooded with requests not to support it.”

Says Mrinal Sharma, a 22-year-old DU student, “I am annoyed! It’s great for fans that a big pop act is finally coming to Delhi, but why mix it in a sacrosanct space, specially after we’ve had Iron Maiden perform last year.”

Welcoming “Backstreet Boys” to India, acclaimed Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, urged business conglomerates and central-state-municipal governments of India to patronize and promote music festivals throughout the country. India had abundance of musical talent (with tradition going back to Sama-Veda), and all it needed was to channelize it and give it a direction, Zed, who is chairperson of Indo-American Leadership Confederation, added.

Having focused mainly on acting in the last few years, Nicholas Tse finally returns to music with his new Mandarin release Last, his first album in almost three years. In a new sales move for the Chinese pop industry, Last was actually first released in China as a digital album in March before getting a store release in April. The album’s title, chosen by Nic himself, has inspired rampant speculation about whether Last might be his last album.

Featuring Nic as a handsome fighter pilot in the album photowork, Last comes with ten tracks, two of which are already familiar hits – “Can It Be?” (Track 4), the theme song to the movie “Beast Stalker”, and “Terminal Station” (Track 3), the opening theme of his period drama “The Spirit of the Sword”. Nic brings out the rock vocals for some signature hot-blooded numbers like second plug Tonight, which comes in both Mandarin and Cantonese versions.

Biography

Nicholas Tse, or Tse Ting-Fung, is a Hong Kong based Chinese singer-songwriter, actor and musician. He is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. He is a member of the Emperor Entertainment Group. Throughout his career, he has been a singer, an actor, a director, a producer, and a composer.

Born to Hong Kong actor Patrick Tse (??) and Deborah Lee (???), Tse was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He was educated at St. George’s School, Vancouver, and later attended Hong Kong International School for one year before dropping out at grade 10.[2] For a year he lived in Phoenix, Arizona before going back to Vancouver. He has dual Canadian and Hong Kong citizenship. He also has a younger sister named Jennifer Tse (???).

Music

Tse was singing at a party for a family friend when he was discovered by Albert Yeung, head of Emperor Entertainment Group. In 1997 Tse would sign a record deal with EEG under the Fitto label, releasing his first album, “My Attitude”. The album was ranked 3rd on the top selling CD chart of IFPI.[3] It was that year where he won the most popular new artist award.

Tse received mainstream success in 1998 with songs like “??” and “???????” and became a prominent successor in the entertainment industry. His first Jade Solid Gold Top 10 song award came in 1999 with his popular song “????”.

In 2000, Tse released the album and song “??VIVA”, regarded as his most popular song ever, furthered his career significantly. It was after this song which he became an A-list singer at the time.

In 2001, he released the album “???.” The album had two hit songs: “???” and “????”

Film

Nicholas Tse mostly stars in action films. His most notable action base films include Dragon Tiger Gate, Gen-X-Cops, Young and Dangerous: The Prequel, and Invisible Target. He also collaborated with Jackie Chan in New Police Story.

Though not as common, Tse has also acted in romance films including Tiramisu and Jade Goddess of Mercy. Only later in his career did he participate in comedy roles including Enter the Phoenix, Mcdull: The Alumni, A Chinese Tall Story.

TV series

Tse has starred in two (or three) TVB Hong Kong local dramas depends how you look at it this including Aiming High (?????), The Monkey King: Quest for the Sutra (???????) which is more of comedy or adventure than a drama and the documentary On the Road II (?????II) in Cambodia. The rest of his drama series are filmed and produced by Mainland China companies. Most of Tse’s drama are wuxia series, which are based in ancient Chinese societies.

Voice acting

In the Hong Kong translated version of A Bug’s Life (?????), the character Flik was dubbed by Tse. He also lent his voice to the Chinese animation film Lotus Lantern.

Personal life

At 5’5, Tse is similar height to his wife,Cecilia Cheung.

Nicolas Tse once had a relationship with fellow cantopop star Faye Wong. Faye Wong was 11 years Tse’s senior and the news shocked Asia’s entertainment industry.[7]

On 31 July 2006, Tse officially admitted dating Cecilia Cheung in an interview with Hong Kong commercial radio station 881/903. On 29 September 2006, Tse showed off his wedding ring at the Hong Kong International Airport, announcing he and Cecilia Cheung were married in a secret wedding ceremony in the Philippines.[2] On 2 August 2007 he became the father of his new born son named Lucas (???).[

Michael Jackson visited Hindu temples

Entertainment icon Michael Jackson reportedly visited famous Hindu temple in London (United Kingdom) in 1999.

On July 25, 1999, he went to Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden in northwest London and took off his shoes before entering the temple like all other devotees. Masterpiece of exotic design and workmanship, this Hindu temple has been visited by Princess Diana also.

According to a business magnate who accompanied him, “Jackson was clearly taken with the whole ritual of taking off his shoes before entering the temple and the Hindu form of worship.”

Michael later reportedly visited Bhaktivedanta Manor, run by International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) near Watford (United Kingdom). This temple, which contains the statues of Hindu god Krishna and his consort Radha, opens at 04-30 am everyday with Mangal Arti and closes with Shayan Arti at 09-30 pm. Besides arti (ceremony performed in adoration of a deity by circular movement of a lighted lamp), devotees here chant Hare Krishna maha-mantra also. ISKCON propagates consciousness of Hindu god Krishna and before initiation; its devotees take a vow of abstaining from intoxication, gambling, illicit sexual connections and the eating of meat, fish or eggs.

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed argues that Michael’s fondness with poetry of India’s first Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore during the last days of his life, his being vegetarian, his knowledge of major Hindu deities, and his Hindu temple visits appear to pointing his interest in Hinduism and its rich philosophy.

Rajan Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that they would pray for the peace of entertainer Michael’s soul. Michael’s personal life might had been controversial, but he did provide “joy” to a large populace of the world through his music. According to ancient Hindu scriptures: “From joy are born all creatures, by joy they grow, and to joy they return”.
