Shopping extravaganza “Fashion’s Night Out” is being spearheaded by Vogue globally, which it is labeling as “biggest fashion party in history” and “Global Celebration of Fashion” and will be held in September this year.

Indian Vogue editor Priya Tanna reportedly told WWD: “Fashion’s Night Out last year was the first luxury shopping festival to take place in India. It followed three consecutive days of rain and took place during an inauspicious time on the Hindu calendar for buying expensive items. But neither the rains nor the Hindu gods could stop the shoppers from coming.”

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that Hindu deities were meant to be worshipped in temples and home shrines and not to be trivialized in the fashion world. Vogue should not unnecessarily drag Hindu deities in promoting its fashion extravaganzas.

Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, further said that trivialization of deities hurt the feelings of devotees and Vogue should not take it lightly.

Meanwhile Bhavna Shinde of Forum for Hindu Awakening has asked Vogue and its India editor Priya Tanna to immediately tender a formal apology on this issue and refrain from insulting Hindu gods in the future. Vogue and its editors should be focusing more on fashion-celebrities-beauty-trends-shopping and not challenging the powers of Hindu gods, Shinde added.

Uruguay by Martin Albornoz. The crest is based in the most important achievement of uruguayan football, the final of 1950 world cup final, in rio de janeiro, against brasil. it is an unforgettable memory in uruguay history. The main element is the typography, hand made, authentic, a mix of shapes and sizes, with imperfections. that’s the way uruguay is, and its people. and that’s how I represent with the stroke. it’s a personal interpretation of our idiosyncrasy.

Tthat match in 1950 is known as ‘el maracanazo’. A ‘before and after’ in uruguayan and brasilian football. it was the last match that brasilian team played with white t shirt, they had all the celebrations prepared, it was a unique moment in which a complete stadium remained in silence, it was an opportunity where uruguay showed to the world that a small country can beat a bigger one.’ (Martin Albornoz)

You can pair them with a grey t-shirt and a black leather jacket for a “cool” look. A dark polo for a preppy look. A Tan blazer and tucked in short sleeve button-front for a fashion-y look. Or there is always the standard t-shirt in olive green, royal blue or whatever color you have hanging in your closet.

My only advice is avoid the stark black t-shirt or crisp long sleeve button front – just looks likes you are trying too hard. White denim is a laid back look. You want to keep that vibe with your shirt and, of course, shoes.

For your footwear you want to pull on some sneakers, or any other low key kicks. Boots can sometimes be pulled off, but are too incidental to recommend. Lastly, skip the dress shoes with this one. As for the waist, a belt has never looked better on white denim so go ahead and throw one a casual one in brown, tan or black.

I’m not saying they are right, but I can tell you how to rock the denim shirt with jeans in the best way possible. First rule; do not add a denim jacket to boot. Then be sure your jeans are in nice condition and have a modern cut with a dark wash. The denim shirt should be thin and of a distinctly different color than the jean.

That’s right, choose light denim for your shirt and make sure it fits you well. No bagging, no major bunching if you are tucking it in. Yes, that is correct, you may wear it tucked or untucked.

From there add a casual belt and shoes, if need be work boots – if you are laboring.
